1966 Olympia SM9. The pinnacle of Olympia typewriter design? Of ANY portable typewriter design? I’ve seen quite a few people say this is the case. Certainly, it’s an amazing typer.

Personally, if you don’t mind the heavier carriage shift on the older SMs (and I don’t), then I think the SM3 and SM4 win out on looks. All a matter of personal preference, of course. This SM9 is still a marvel!
